They are a wealth of information and can get you started in the right direction.

Keep a budget
If you really want to travel but don’t spend a lot doing it, you have to set up a travel budget. You can decide what you are going to budget for but the key is to stick to it. Budgets are not meant to keep you from buying things that you want; it is meant to keep you from over doing it. So definitely put in a budget for souvenirs and gifts but setting a budget ahead of time means you want be bringing home useless items or big credit card bills.

Keeping dining to at pricey restaurants to a minimum
Dining and traveling often go hand in hand. When you travel, you want to be able to taste and experience all the local cuisine. That’s the whole point of traveling, right? To experience new things?
